What should the elf be called?

How to choose a name
- Let the children decide. Write three suggestions on slips of paper and let them draw one on the first morning. A name they chose themselves is one they remember.
- Let the elf introduce itself. It can say what it is called in its first letter. There are elf letters to print with an empty card for your own words.
- Short and easy to say. A three-year-old can manage a name of two syllables.
- Keep the name. The same elf comes back next December, and it should be called the same.
Put the name on the door
A sign with the name by the elf’s door makes it one of the family. Among the elf doors to print, the red door has a sign that says “Here lives” and an empty line. Write the name together once the children have made up their minds, or type it in before you print.
Nine elf doors, also to colour in. Free to printOnce the name is settled, read about when the elf arrives and what needs to be ready the evening before.
