On Christmas Eve the elf is gone. A letter and a small candy cane are left behind.

A candy cane or a ginger biscuit per child

Method

Put the elf away until next year.
Leave the letter and the sweets where the elf sat on the first day.

“Thank you for letting me stay! I have told Father Christmas everything, mostly the kind things. See you next December. Merry Christmas!”
